Privacy policy

BuckBooth is operated by BuckBooth (Morocco). This policy explains what happens to your data when you use the site. Contact: support@buckbooth.com.

Your photo

Your photo is opened, analysed, framed and converted into files inside your browser. It is never uploaded to our servers. To detect your face, your browser downloads an open-source model (Google MediaPipe) from jsDelivr and Google Cloud Storage; your photo is not sent to them either.

Your browser computes a one-way fingerprint (part of a SHA-256 hash) of the photo file. The fingerprint is sent with your order so the purchase unlocks that photo only. It cannot be turned back into the image.

Payments

Payments are processed by PayPal, which acts under its own privacy statement. From PayPal we use the order ID, payment status, amount, fees and the payer's country to confirm the purchase, handle refunds and keep accounting records. We do not receive your card details.

Server logs

When you start or complete a checkout, our hosting provider (Vercel) records technical logs: the order ID, the country derived from your IP address, and a shortened IP address (the last part removed). These logs are used for security and fraud prevention and are kept for a short period set by the hosting plan.

On your device

After you pay, a download token and your order ID are saved in your browser's local storage so you can download again. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views and events without cookies and without building profiles of individual visitors. We do not use advertising trackers and do not sell personal data.

International transfers

Our hosting (Vercel) and payment provider (PayPal) process data in other countries, including the United States, under their own safeguards.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to, correction of or deletion of personal data we hold about you, and object to its processing, by writing to the address above. Because we never receive your photo, we cannot delete it from our side — it only exists on your device.
